About hometown and family

I grew up in the province of Pangasinan, one of the largest provinces in Northern Luzon, Philippines. The name Pangasinan, pronounced as "Pang-gASINan" means "place for salt" or "place of salt-making"; The province is a major producer of salt in the Philippines. Its major products include "bagoong" ("salted-fish") and "aramang" ("salted-shrimp"). Popular tourist attractions in Pangasinan include the Hundred Islands National Park in Alaminos City and the white-sand beaches of Bolinao and Dasol. Dagupan City is known for its Bangus Festival ("Milkfish Festival"). Pangasinan is also known for its delicious mangoes and ceramic oven-baked Calasiao puto ("native rice cake"). Pangasinan occupies a strategic geo-political position in the central plain of Luzon, known as the rice granary of the Philippines. Pangasinan has been described as a gateway to northern Luzon and as the heartland of the Philippines.
I have a big, happy family. I am the eldest among 5 children. I have 3 beautiful sisters and a protective brother. My life growing up was a mixture of challenges, joyful experiences, sad and happy memories. I am really thankful that God let me live with the family that I have. Our parents made it sure that we grow up with the Christian values and that we live by the faith which they imparted to us since we were little children.

Favorite TV programs and It’s contents

I don't really have favorite TV program. I watch TV series whenever I was intrigued by the plot of the stories. Most of the time, I watch the news to keep track of the latest events worldwide. Every Sunday, I watch a christian channel where messages from the pastors or church leaders are being aired.

Goals and dreams as an English teacher

I began teaching in the Sunday School when I was 12 years old. Since I was a child, I really love discussing things with my fellow children. I engaged into public speaking when I became a youth. I love teaching, however, I did not choose it to be my profession because I wanted to explore other opportunities for me out there.
My experiences being an English language trainer made me decide to become an ESL teacher for Japanese students. My goal now is to become an effective mentor to my students. My aim is to impart knowledge to them, not only by giving instructions but mostly by giving them chances to explore the language through interactive learning.

Comment to Students

We are all learners in this world. I might know something which you do not know, however, there are also things that you know which I do not know. Learning is a continuous process. I may not know why you decided to study the English language but I am sure that whatever your reason is, it's because you want to become better in global communication. I am hoping to meet you soon and exchange knowledge with you.

About Japanese and Japan

I am always fascinated with the Japanese culture, its places and its people. Years ago, I heard about Ikebana, Japanese temples, Japanese gardens, floating bonsai, Sakura, Manga, etc. I began searching for their pictures and see how they look like through the internet. I love Ikebana the most. For me, it represents Japan - a country of discipline and creativity.
