About hometown and family

I have a small family. I have an older brother and a younger sister. My father died when I was five years old and after that we moved to my mother’s hometown, Pinan Zamboanga Del Norte. My hometown got its name from the native word “pinan”, a pineapple fruit that grows abundantly in this locality before its creation. Vast tracts of pineapple plantations can be seen all over the area. The people of my hometown were engaged in farming, they cultivated their field by using “kaingin”. It became the source of farm production and people from neighboring municipalities go to Pinan to purchase agricultural products. My family and I are presently residing here in Cebu City, known for the mother of all the cities, being the oldest city in the Philippines.

Comments to students

I’ve been teaching Japanese students for almost 4 years now and it really helps me to understand and know how to handle them. As a teacher, in able to handle the students effectively, classroom management combine with an effective discipline plan is the key. A teacher must begin each class period with a positive attitude and high expectations. With a positive attitude and high expectations, it could help the teacher to understand and teach the students well.

Goals and dreams as an English teacher

I want to become a good and an effective teacher to my future students by listening and understanding each student’s needs towards learning the language.

About Japanese and Japan

Japanese people are generally shy or worry about their foreign language skills and fear their needs saying something incorrectly in English when they talk to native speakers, but it’s not a problem because Japanese people are also hard worker and intelligent. They really prove that they can do such things like studying English as their second language. As an English teacher, I’m very willing to impart my knowledge to those kind of students. Since I started teaching Japanese students and learned about Japan, I’m interested about the cherry blossom because I love flowers very much. I’m looking forward to visiting Japan and see the beauty of Sakura season.
