About hometown and family

I was born in Koronadal City, the capital of the province of South Cotabato. It is one of the cities in Mindanao. I spent my childhood and adolescence there. After I finished my high school education, I moved to Davao city for the university education. And after I finished my college, I moved to Cebu City for my career. I am no longer living in my hometown but I sometimes go there to visit my mother.
My family consists of five members: my mom, my elder sister, my two brothers and me. It was six when my father was alive. He died from cancer when I was nearly eleven. My mother raised us alone and worked as a business woman.

Favorite TV programs and It’s contents

I watch TV in my free time and the channels I watch are Discovery Channel, Cartoon network and Ellen Degeneres. I like these TV channels because of the programs and documentaries they present. They are enjoyable and offer lots of information to the audiences. I found these channels really interesting and I can learn many new things watching them.

Comments to students

I did not major in English education, therefore, teaching English is challenging. For me, the idea that four years of college, with any major, is sufficient to teach. I taught freshmen during the last year at the college. I learned a lot about teaching from different teachers. This experience ensured me that teaching was a right choice for my career. I am looking forward to apply all my knowledge and experience in teaching my students.

Goals and dreams as an English teacher

My goal as an English teacher is to help my student speak their second language fluently. I am happy and contented to see them learning a language with dedication and determination.

About Japanese and Japan

I love Japan. The food, the people, the architecture, the culture. It is bliss.
Japan is the country I’ve been dreaming of to visit. My father visited Japan several times for business trips; he ran a business related to Kubota corporation. He was also the first person who introduced Japan to us and after that we began to love Japan.
I spent four years at Mindanao Kokusai Daigaku. I studied the Japanese language, culture and history there. I learned that Japanese are a very traditional people and polite. They have a very profound food culture and Japan is famous for its advance in technology. I first went to Japan in 2012, and that was a dream come true.
